BlinkTask operates on an offline-first architecture to ensure maximum privacy for your daily schedule and project roadmaps:

  • Local Databases: Your task titles, description details, chronological day timelines, color-coded project folders, and backlog items are stored locally on your device in a secured storage partition.
  • No Mandatory Accounts: BlinkTask does not force users to sign up or create user accounts to perform basic daily scheduling, preventing your schedules from being indexed on external servers.

2. Optional Cloud Backup & Sync

To safeguard against data loss, BlinkTask offers optional cloud backup services:

  • Cloud Backup & Restore: If you explicitly choose to backup your workspace, encrypted packages of your tasks and projects are uploaded to a secure cloud backend (or your personal Google Drive bucket if configured).
  • Sync Integrity: This backup process does not share your task lists with third parties or advertisers.

3. Third-Party Integrations & Advertising

We integrate industry-standard SDK tools for application health maintenance and ad-supported monetization:

  • Google Play Services: Manages store licenses, app installs, and handles optional Google Account authentication for cloud backups.
  • AdMob Advertising: Displays non-personalized or personalized banner/interstitial advertisements. AdMob evaluates device advertising IDs to measure click performance.
  • Diagnostics: Captures crash logs and exception traces to patch bugs. This diagnostic telemetry does not contain task descriptions, titles, or notes content.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

You retain ownership and control of your planner data:

  • To wipe your local workspace, simply reset app storage/cache in your Android Settings or uninstall BlinkTask.
  • If you have configured Cloud Backup, you can trigger a "Delete Backup" command inside the app settings to purge your files from our secure servers.
